My favourite app just got superpowered!

Two big things happened on the internet this week, according to my Google ‘Discover’ feed: J-Lo reunited with Ben Affleck, and Notion finally released its very, very long-awaited API.

Notion is a collaborative platform that integrates note-taking, project management, kanbans and wikis. I run my life inside a sprawling Notion paradise, and am building out a new one for Paper Giant to play with.

So the Notion API is a big deal. APIs allow other tools and systems to ‘plug in’ to the native app. Once an API is released, others can start building those ‘plug ins’ and people like me can start using them.

An API could finally allow Notion to integrate my Google calendar, automate task creation, or display user-created visual styles. This makes it a very exciting time to get Notioning (it’s free for personal use).

Oh, and all the best to Bennifer 2.0 – I hope it sticks.
